Srimad Valimiki Ramayanam

SRIMAD VALIMIKI RAMAYANAM -- is the veda rupam and describes the glories Lord Maha-Vishnu who came down as Lord SriRama. It is considered as the greatest epic poem and timeless classic of India. It consists of 24,000 verses, 7 cantos and 500 chapters. It has Bala kandam, Ayodhya kandam, Aaranya kandam, Kiskindha kandam, kandam, Yuddha kandam and Uttarakandam. Reciting Srimad Valmiki Ramayanam is considered equivalent to reciting entire Veda. Lord Sriman Narayana came down to the earth in the form Sri Rama.
